This month we catch up with Rebecca from The Salt Parlour. Their relaxing Rose & Shea Butter Calm Salt & Sulphur Scrub can be found in our Luxe, Unwind, and Thankful boxes.
They use a blend of mineral-rich Dead Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, Shea Butter, and Rose Oil to calm, soothe, and moisturise the skin. The addition of fragrant dried rose petals will also leave you feeling relaxed and tension-free.
Here is what Rebecca had to tell us about the brand and what is in store for the future:
When did you begin your business and where did the idea come from?
The Salt Parlour has been providing luxury bath & body care products for a few years now. With a love for the sea and its incredible, positive effects on the skin, we set about recreating this feeling to tackle our own skin gripes – using ingredients such as Dead Sea Salt and The Beauty Mineral (Organic Sulphur) within all our products.
The Beauty Mineral also known as Organic Sulphur, originates in the oceans where microscopic plankton release sulphur compounds into seawater. It is known for its ability to support collagen production, promote circulation and decrease inflammation, which is why we add it to all our products!
Our company ethos is simple – to provide natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and earth-friendly skincare products that give you beautiful, happy, glowing skin, without doing a drop of damage to you or our planet. Our passion is to look after your skin whilst protecting the Earth we live on.
How has your business grown since?
During the last few years, awareness of toxins in products we place on our skin and the damage we are causing using single-use plastic has grown incredibly – and therefore the demand for our products has also increased over time.
What does the future hold for your business?
We are working on several other products to add to our bath & body skincare line, including a cleansing face scrub and hair care range which we hope to have on the market by the end of 2021.
Any other interesting facts you think our customers would like to know?
Did you know that 40% of total plastic usage is from packaging? It’s time to make a change….
