Perkier bars are packed with nutritious energy, high in fibre, protein and lower in sugar. Many have added vitamins and even probiotics for gut health.
Here is what Ann had to tell us about the brand and what is in store for the future:
When did you begin your business and where did the idea come from?
Perkier is an innovative young independent British company. The name is a mashup of our founders’ surnames Perkins & Turner. We founded Perkier in 2015, to make the healthiest snacks on the planet! We started making the bars in our kitchen after Ann discovered she couldn’t eat gluten or dairy and was frustrated by the choices available.
How has your business grown since?
We have developed snacks with outstanding health benefits, whilst also delivery delicious tastes and a strong sustainability footprint. Our bars are all vegan, palm oil free, only use recyclable packaging and are made in a B-Corp manufacturing facility. We have built a strong fan base of consumers who love the taste, health benefits and focus on sustainability Perkier bars offer.
We work with UK foodbanks including Fareshare to ensure we have <1% waste. Additionally our business has grown through great partnerships in foodservice, retail and online sales since launch.
What does the future hold for your business?
We are the fastest growing healthy snack bar brand in the UK and outsell major competitors. We have an exciting range of new products and big ambitions for the future!
